This week, companies reporting first half results included Enstar, Groupama, Prudential, Resolution, Sagicor, Swiss Life, Talanx, and Zurich.
Fitch looked at the results from UK life insurers, whilst individual underwritten life applications in the US continued to decline.

Exchanging's Netsett has been awarded ACORD certification, and leading MGA Touchstone Underwriting is to launch an online service to specialist brokers using Websure's WebX platform.
Stuart Anderson is to step down as ceo of Iron-Starr Excess Agency and Kiln appointed Satoshi Naganuma as active underwriter at Lloyd's Syndicate 1880.
